Your question is very confusing. The Quick MO process automatically closes the MO and nothing remains to be done.
The edit MO status screen has two purposes - changing status of MO's (bulk) (usually from complete to close) and reviewing the MRP suggested MO's and turning the suggested MO's into actual MO's.
The edit mo status screen doesn't 'complete' issue transactions - it will warn users that an MO that is being changed (example, from partially received to close, etc.) has components not fully consumed or remaining WIP components, etc.
If your company uses Quick MO's they probably don't use the edit MO status to close them - GP closes them automatically.
Does your company use both quick MO's and Long MO's?
