Thank you, Mariano. I liked your suggestion, but as I was going through it, I was noticing some other oddities (ie in no payroll codes). I asked her to enter another one in a test environment similar to what she had done for the "bad boys". On those, although she selected a Transaction Type of "FICA Soc Sec Tax", she did not enter anything into the Amount field, only in the Taxable Wage and EFIC Amount fields. When she posted it, it also updated the UPR30100, but not the UPR30300. So, I think the best to handle it is to do negative transaction populating the same fields as before and correct the GL.

In looking at the report I think you are right. The >90 days is cut off from the report, but the total net balance per vendor picks up >90 days. I'm logged in as admin so I have access to all of the reports and editing capabilities. Do you know the quickest way to add another bucket to the report?

When I post an invoice I should be able to select an item and this item should be linked to the proper AR account and proper Revenue account Could please someone tell me how I can set it up? Forum Post: Management Reporter 2012
All, Management Reporter was working fine. Now we are having an issue where our reports will not run when linked to an Excel Spreadsheet. Any report that has a link is not working. The error is saying the Microsoft Access driver, Microsoft Access ACE OLE DB is not registered. IT says they loaded the Microsoft Access 2010 redistributable engine however we are still getting the same error. The user has full rights to the folder where the excel files are stored so not sure what is causing the issue. How do we verify the correct Access product is loaded? I believe they also loaded 64 bit office as well on the machine.

The item can be linked to the proper revenue account - the system does this out of the box. However, the AR account comes from the customer. In order to change this behavior, your will need to get a product like Flexicoder from eOne Solutions.

Security is setup inside of GP once you modify the report - you will need to make sure to give the user(s) who run the report the rights to the modified report. It should be a legend field to add. Hi Natella, first of all you can create a class to group your similar items with the same accounts, then you can define accounts to the class so that when you insert the transaction it inherits the accounts defined in the item card. you can identify class accounts from that path: Inventory >> Setup >> Item Class >> Accounts for identifying accounts to each item path: Inventory >> Cards >> Item >> Accounts in every card in the Dynamics GP you can find the accounts tab to define the accounts to be inherited in the transactions same goes to customers and vendors. Also make sure in the Sales Order Processing you check the posting accounts come from the items its path : Sales >> Setup >> Sales Order Processing hope that's what your looking for kindly Regards

By default, the out of the box report offers 4 aging buckets. You need to modify the report in Report Writer to add the additional aging buckets you will need to have the amounts reflect properly. Ahmed, Your steps are correct -- for the item and the precedence of the revenue side of the equation, but not the AR. As I mentioned before, the AR account comes from the customer card (or customer class, or ultimately, the sales accounts under posting accounts) and you will not be able to get the account to change based on the selected item.

Hi, Is there a way to print a listing of all Unposted In-Transit-Transfer Documents? I need to get a listing of all items that were not received. Background - On a document of 8 items, possibly only 6 were received. I need to print a report to show all the documents that contain these items that were left behind so I can clean them up. These seem to be affecting my allocated stock quantities.

Blog Post: Microsoft Dynamics GP – Document Attach
Lose the filing cabinet, keep the information! Dynamics GP has a great feature that goes a long way to becoming a paperless office. Using the Document Attach feature, you can attach any type of file to a master record or transaction inside of Dynamics GP. Three of the more common uses for this feature are: Attaching vendor invoices to the payable transaction in Dynamics GP means you never have to go back to the filing cabinet to retrieve the original invoice. If you are using Workflow, the approver email will have the scanned invoice attached. Attaching item warranty, specification sheets, or photos to the inventory item that can be included with an emailed customer quote or order. Attaching signed agreements or contracts to the vendor/customer records . Document Attach has been available since Dynamics GP 2013 and is easy to set up. You do need to enable it (Administration Page > Company) and there is optional password protection to add or delete attachments. You can also set a maximum file size to control database bloat. The attachments get stored in the Dynamics GP company database, which means they are secure, backed up, and available to your Dynamics GP users. How to use Document Attach Once enabled, attach the document to the active record by clicking the Attach button in the toolbar, then browse to where your file is saved. Once attached, you can choose to add additional attributes to your attachment. This is optional but can be useful for categorizing your attachments to report on them later. If there is a scanner attached to the workstation, the Document Attachment window has a Scan button to scan and attach to the current record in one-step . If you are looking to purchase a scanner, Microsoft reports that HP scanners work well. Other scanners may have some challenges with this “one-step” feature with multi-page documents. The mid-year product updates for Dynamics GP that will be released in July 2018 will correct this issue. In Dynamics GP 2018 and later, posted documents can get document attachments added by bringing up the transaction in the Inquiry windows. Using Smartlist to list your document attachments How do you know which records have attachments? Using Smartlist Designer, create a custom smartlist and add the tables Document Attachment Master and Document Attachment Status to get a view of all your records that have attachments. The example in the screenshot below shows the record, attachment file name, any attributes added and the created date. This will even track deleted attachments. Document Attach is available throughout the system in the Purchasing, Sales, Inventory, General Ledger and Fixed Asset modules.
