You need to change account length to 6 and Segment to 2 on the account format setup. after doing this make length of 1st segment to 4 and 2nd segment to 2 and save it.

Blog Post: What is ERP Software?
What does it mean when we say “At Collins Computing , we provide experienced talent and proven technologies for small to mid-sized businesses looking to automate their ERP solutions ”? Let’s start with an ‘assumed’ definition these days for “ERP Solutions”. Originally an “Enterprise Resource System” might have meant a software package meant to automate the back office functions of a business. But with advancements in technology, now it seems to mean more than just a back office tool. Businesses expect a system that can act as a tool to gather critical data and generate reports that can be distributed via the web, improve efficiency so users don’t have to initiate every task, and enhance customer service to include not just billing when appropriate, but also following up with customer experience rating requests, easily track shipments and deliveries, and automate collection management processes. An ‘adequate’ ERP solution should encompass drawing a client’s specific needs together, setting up the current requirements into a proper selection of choices, and then mapping the business processes to best distribute invoices/documents/reports. Gone are the days of having paper checklists and batch processing done at the end of the day. ERP Solutions need to initiate the next step of the process as soon as conceivably imaginable. If a product is available, offer expedited shipments, credit card authorization, carrier selection, and of course offer flexible and user-designed patterns or combinations of products. An ‘acceptable’ ERP solution should have safeguards for compliance standards for audits, regulatory scrutiny, and escalation processes for system changes by the producer of the software when the government modifies the calculations, amounts, or percentages of tax rates or levels. In fact, here are 25 Brilliant Ideas that ERP solutions should give clients who are looking to outsmart their competition! Blog Post: 5 ERP Training Tips for Your Team
The decision has been made: your team will be undergoing an ERP software integration. With all the different moving parts involved, it can be easy to overlook the basics - optimized training. Follow these tips to ensure your team members are best poised for success. Make ERP Training A Priority Unfortunately, your business doesn’t get to stop operating just because your software is changing. That said, if you don’t put the proper controls in place to make the integration successful, then you stand the risk of undermining your decision to switch software in the first place. Train Based on Role Executives and managers won’t have the same needs as team members, so this is a good opportunity to train smarter and not harder. Don’t feel obligated to use the same cookie cutter method for every member of your company during a ERP software integration. Use Multiple Training Methods Just as people vary in their learning styles, there will be different ways of learning that works differently for each. Whether it’s simulations, webinars or traditional classroom training, provide a variety of tools to meet the wide range of learning styles of your team. Keep Communication Open Rather than just tossing a hefty manual to your team and wishing them luck, work to demonstrate in concrete ways how you envision the software change impacting daily operations. At least knowing where management is coming from can go a long way in getting better participation. Train for Real Scenarios Presenting your team with real-world test cases for your ERP software integration will be a lot more helpful than generic training modules. Find a way to marry the training resources you have with the real day-to-day jobs specific to your company, then try to present a training solution that makes the most sense to your specific company. Congratulations - you are well on your way to a successful ERP implementation. Just remember that no matter how challenging it is, if you trust the process and follow these tips, at the end of the day you’ll have a better, more efficient way of doing business! Forum Post: No data neither in Warehouse database nor in cubes
Hi, I have installed the Analysis Cubes on my GP v2013 as per the instructions provided in here: http://jonathanpcox.com/2014/10/31/deploying-the-gp-2013-r2-analysis-cubes/ . Everything went good, and after installation, I can see the warehouse in the Database Engine and Cubes in Analysis Services. But I don't know there are no rows / data neither in the warehouse database nor in the cubes. Am I supposed to pull the data to warehouse database or to cubes? If so, how can I? Can anyone please help me in this? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Adal, It's look like an extender window. If it's the case you will be able to see your index in the EXT00100 table. Which is the "Extender Window Key Values" Try: select * from EXT00100 where PT_UD_Key like 'ET637247%' If you see your SOP Number in the PT_UD_Key field try with one of those tables EXT00101 Extender Window Field Strings EXT00102 Extender Window Field Dates EXT00103 Extender Window Field Numbers EXT00104 Extender Window Field Times Exemple: select * from EXT00101 where PT_UD_Key like 'ET637247%' Note: Please mark it as verified, if this answer your question. Because this will helps to some others who experience the same.

Forum Post: RE: GP 2013 R2 and which version of Visual Studio
Warning! of late, the "fix" du jour is for the consultants to rename the dynamics.exe.config to fix various issues within GP, (you know, like the xml list issue or some addins like hr after removing hr). The correct fix is to fix up the config, but you know how well that trickles down to the on-site techs. Anyway, when they rename, then all of a sudden your stuff stops working. I spent hours debugging, before I noticed the config file was renamed. Hope someone else gets the benefit of this warning.
